The world around her a gentle cage, easy to break free of.
The constant pulse of her beating heart.
It was finally time, the outside world no longer a blur, her body having grown to large for for the shell. The voices outside a dull murmur to her ears through her shell, nearly time. She moved and her shell made brittle sounds against her movement, She reached her claw outwards, towards the outside and found the transparent barrier, she tightened her claws against it and heard it begin to crack.
